Photography Open Exhibition

The RWA Photography Open Exhibition is a celebration of contemporary photographic practice and is open to all artists who use this medium to submit either single images or limited series.

Submissions for this exhibition are invited from all artists who create photographic work or explore the nature of photography. As well as more traditional forms of photography, we welcome work from those who use photography to inform their sculpture, installation, architecture or other artistic practice are also encouraged to enter the exhibition. Artists of all ages and experience are welcome to submit. There is no theme, however, submissions must have been created no more than three years ago and must be for sale. All entries are subject to selection and a fee for entry applies.

You may submit individual artworks, or you can submit up to 5 works as a series. Please see the Terms & Conditions below for full instructions.

The Royal West of England Academy
169th Annual Open Exhibition

The Royal West of England Academy holds an Annual Open Exhibition, now in its 169th year. As the name suggests, anyone can enter their work for this mixed discipline show - previous years have included painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, film, sculpture and illustration, and attracted entries from artists across the UK and beyond. A selection panel assesses every entry and last year over 600 works by a variety of artists made it into the final exhibition. All work is for sale and the exhibition attracts art-lovers and art-buyers from far and wide.
